After two months of of research and communication, I finally had the honor of meeting Bonnie Mattozzi (an owner and director of the Maine Project for Fine Art Conservation), and Katrina Jacques (senior conservator). From 2:45 to a little before 5:00, we spent time discussing the future of my time there. One large part of my contributions to project MEAC with be advocating for the importance of saving and conserving art. I plan on doing this by taking advantage of political connections I have at my disposal.  Already Brainstorming, I hope to get in contact with local news stations (Portland Press Harold, Bangor Daily News, Ect.). Then, power map connections to push politicians to take the importance of art seriously. Hopefully changing the pattern of dismissal Project MEAC has received in the past .
